Craig Walter

Craig is a partner in Deloitte’s Financial Advisory practice. He is head of infrastructure M&A for the Americas, as well as Canada's infrastructure national practice leader. He has over 25 years of M&A experience and since 2005, has been dedicated to advising infrastructure investors on M&A and strategy. Craig joined Deloitte in 2017 after spending 13 years at another organization, where he founded and led their global infrastructure M&A advisory practice. He has led teams on over 250 transactions across the world and has extensive experience with large, complex, multi-jurisdictional projects. Beyond North America, he has worked with several global infrastructure investors as they have established foundational investments in Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and India. He also has experience working through complex partnering arrangements and the associated governance implications and solutions.

Outside of a transaction environment, Craig was worked with various infrastructure investors on market entry strategies, new sub-sector strategies, turnaround and value creation strategies inside of portfolio companies, asset management strategy, approaches to environmental, social, and governance due diligence, and the implications of disruptive technology on the infrastructure asset class. Craig has extensive experience across the infrastructure landscape, including transport, energy and utility, and telecom. He is a fluent Spanish speaker and has lived and worked in both Chile and France.
