CEO Foreword
"Our people across NSE are united by our shared values and sense of purpose to make progress together."
Richard Houston, Senior Partner and CEO, Deloitte NSE
Welcome to Deloitte’s Impact Report for North and South Europe (NSE).
This report brings to life the difference our people are making for our clients and communities across borders.
It’s inspiring to see our people collaborating globally to support societal progress and I’d like to thank all our people who make a difference every day – and congratulate those who were recognised through our NSE Impact Awards. These awards are our internal recognition programme, which celebrates the impact that people and teams are making for clients, people and society. You’ll see several of these stories in the report, including how our people have helped bridge the digital divide by teaching children about automation technology and supported companies to make sustainable decisions with ImpactLens.
Our people across NSE are united by our shared values and sense of purpose to make progress together.
Over the past year we’ve helped organisations to build resilience, embedded AI into businesses and supported the transition to a low carbon future.
And we’ve also increased investment in communities across NSE, including volunteering, donations and pro-bono projects in line with our One Hundred Million Futures social impact strategy.
Our report is published amid a backdrop of economic uncertainty and complex geopolitical challenges, highlighting the importance and resilience of our multidisciplinary firm and our collective commitment to driving positive change. We have drawn strength from the diverse skills, cultures and experiences of our 75,000 people across 30 countries in Europe and the Middle East.
As we look ahead, we expect markets to remain challenging and clients will need our support to navigate economic and geopolitical uncertainty. We will continue to build our resilience and invest in our people and our services to ensure we’re well-positioned for the economic recovery expected in the first half of 2025.
By bringing together our skills and capabilities across borders, I look forward to making an even greater impact for our clients and communities in the year ahead.
